August at Scraptastic

Just sharing what I did with the August Kit this month, better late then never ;)

For this one I used a cut on my Silhoutte for the background, I love the subtle texture it gives the layout.

There are a lot of great patterns in this kit and I kinda wanted to mix them all together. So I went a little wild with my topper on this page.  I loved that acetate piece that was originally a square but I hung it at an angle for an awesome arrow/triangle look.

I think this one might be my fave!  You know when you have a paper that doesn't really speak to you and then BAM, it does????  That's what happened with this one here.  Sometimes you just have to play around with product, mix it with other things and then it all comes together.  I love the subtle colors on here.  The dirty aqua, orange and grays.  I need to go back and coordinate a few more layouts for this party.  I think the colors go well together ;)

This one shows the brighter colored options in the kit and goes with our sketch of the month.

Here's a look at the September kits that just hit the shop!  I'm excited to get started on the We will Rock you Kit!

The Girl Kit looks pretty fun too....it's always a hard choice!

July at Scraptastic

I am so in love with this months Either Way kit at Scraptastic, I really can't believe it's still available.....it's amazing!

Don't forget the add on.....

Here's a look at what I've been doing with it....

Do you see the gold POW paper?  I cut these leaves and title on my silhouette.  I'm in love!

I love the combination of soft and bold colors......They combine beautifully or work wonderfully alone for completely different looks.

Super fun, right?!  Now go and grab yours before they're gone ;)

Chic Tags & Twinery Blog Hop

Welcome to the Chic Tags and Twinery Blog HOp!
You should have arrived here from Stacey Schafer's blog

I love using the Twinery products on my layouts, so this merger was a no brainer for me!  I pulled out the Cloud 9 collection for this one and combined some turquoise twine for that little pop of color.  The Cloud 9 Collection has turquoise in it so it was an easy compliment color.

Thanks for stopping by.....be sure to head over to Jeanne Jachna blog for your next stop on the hop!

HEre's the hop in it's entirety if you get sidetracked ;)

Chic Tags and Maya Road!

hey hey!
I've got one of my new faves up on the Chic Tags blog this week.  We got to play around with some Maya Road product and do a little blog hop with them.  All week we have designers sharing their work combining both companies.  They have made for some stunning projects!  Be sure to check out the whole week.

As for me, here are mine......

I love the combination of naturals and soft teals in this layout, and that little burlap bow!  Pretty sure I need to get me some more of that!  Thank you Maya Road ;)
The starts are from a sheet of MR kraft stickers.  I used a Chic Tags rubon to add a
bit of teal to them.
The ampersand and "you" are also from MR.  The remaining product is Chic Tags.
The "love this life" is a freebie cut file you can grab here

For my second project I made a cake banner to celebrate an upcoming anniversary.  I always do them for my kids birthdays, they are fun and super cute!  I loved these little banner tags combined with layers of other tags and a few Maya Road products....the heart paper clip, the chipboard word and heart.  As well as the kraft stickers.  Topped it off with more of that awesome burlap
and dangled a few chipboard hearts.

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head over to Chic Tags and see what else
is going on over there ;)

A little Chic Tags

Seeing that I'm trying to be a better blogger around these parts, I figured I'll at least keep sharing my work until I decide on more ;)

I had a post up over at Chic Tags last week mixing a few of their lines.  Have you checked out Chic Tags?  Most of the time a company is just a company until you know the heart and soul behind it.  Well, the owner Veronica and her husband are truly some of the most incredible hardworking people I know.  They've worked so hard to build their little business and I so admire their persistence and never quit attitude.  They are worth it.  And their product is top notch.  I really love working for them!  At summer CHA they introduced their first full paper lines.  Now, besides tags, they have entire collections; paper, tags, rubons, alphas, veneer, flair, stickers, etc.  Be sure to check out their shop.
