Some Crate Projects

I love participating in the challenges over at Crate Paper, they are one of my favorite companies and am always so inspired by the challenges......would be nice to win one of these days, but alas....winning is not something I seem to be very good at ;)

This one here is from the September color challenge.  I love how it turned out, makes me happy.  I wanted to get down on paper how Samantha seems to have an old soul.  She has always seemed older and wiser than her years.  She feels a lot and thinks a lot about stuff.  I love to watch the little wheels turn in her brain some days.....than she'll just start laughing.  Get into a fit of giggles over herself.  She amazes me always ;)

This next one was for an all natural challenge.   To use lots of browns and natural tones.  I had these Crate frames I didn't really know what to do with.....then this little idea popped into my head.  I love the quote and the movie it came from, The Help.  Had fun using my archaic Slice machine, it's better than nothing, right ;)  I really like how this turned out too.

My flower is so pretty in real life!!!  I just might make more!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Wow, that layout is spectacular - mind if I lift it? And I loved the movie The Help - your banner of the quote is darling. I think no machine is archaic if you actually use it. Well done - you is crafty!

Lovely creations, Carol. the layout design it's so one of a kind with all the strips - fabolous, and the hanger so cool. (I'm sure Crate loves you too, they just haven't told you yet).

PS great Utah photos - it looks like a fun place to visit!
