A bit oh' looooove

My heart pretty much just bursts when I think about my kids.  Especially when I'm drooling over their sweet baby pictures.  The time really does just fly!!!  It's so hard to express that.  When you are in the thick of things you are doing everything you can to just stay awake!!!  You know it's gonna fly, you know your gonna miss this....but still, it's so much work.  

But when it really is over and they aren't babies anymore......you just look back and wonder.  How did it all end so fast.  Now granted, my kids are still relatively young, but 6 is not baby anymore.  Not even close.  And when you've got a highschooler in the house and you realize you only have a few precious years left.....well, time just starts to get scary!

It's one of those things you just can't adequately express.

Life is moving on at a fast pace and at this point, I really am trying to soak it up.  

Despite the drama and tears and stress and worry....they are my world.

With these things on my mind I was looking at Samantha one day and it just came to me.....I loved her first.  Before anyone else.  What a blessing it is to be a mother.  We get them first.  Before dad, before grandma.  Mom is first, and as far as I'm concerned no one will ever love them the way I do.  

And for that I am so grateful!

I decided to play along with a challenge at Studio Calico last week where we lifted a person.  I took inspiration from her layout and came up with this.  She had patterned paper placed similarly to the way my stitching lines are placed.  Loved the dimension and playfulness it gives and allowed me to really focus on that sweet face ;)  I used the new Paper Heart collection by Crate
