DOUBLE DIGITS!

Look who's 10!!! Wooohooooooooooooo!!!

Our little Kristen had a birthday earlier this month.

We celebrated by having a "Hobo" party ;)

The table setting. Little hobo sacks for their take home bags.

Random jars with daisies, lots of bowls of candy!

I made all the decorations this year.

A banner using the leftover material from the hobo sacks.

Garland that I punched out of patterned paper. Little flags

for the cupcakes and a banner with her name. I didn't get a good picture of that but I'll show it later.

All the girls came dressed in their worst hobo gear.

They were soooo cute and all different!

I sent them on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood to collect the food for their hobo dinners.

We played lots of games.

That donut game. Though we used teeny powdered donuts instead of the big ones.

They even had to work to make their dinners, with carrots, potatoes, meat, corn and cheese.

I was a little worried not everyone would like a tinfoil dinner but they all wolfed it down and loved it!!!

We had a toilet paper mummie race.

As well as some other costume games.

I think they had the most fun playing the chocolate game.

You throw dice and if you get doubles you have to put on all this stuff then try to cut a piece of a candy bar and eat it. It's quite the race!

Here's Kristen just as she's about to get a piece of chocolate and somebody rolls doubles so she has to stop and take everything off! It's blurry, but I love her reaction.

Cake time.

Present time.

Some of the presents were wrapped in newspaper, or as this one...a garbage bag!

It was such a fun party!

I can't believe it's been 10 years since this little girl came along and changed my life foreva!

I adore her!!!!

Oh Nellie.

It's been super busy around here this month. May is like that for us. A few birthdays, anniversary, trip out of town, mothers day.....those post will come.

For now....my nerve conduction studies.

oh

Nellie.

That

hurt.

I wouldn't recommend it.

They did the electrode one first.

That was annoying, but tolerable.

Then they did the needle one.

Several went in my arms,

then several in my hands.

The palm....................................shiver.

Anyhew...the dr. said she doesn't think I have any damage coming from my spine. I definitely have carpel tunnel in both hands. I still need to see her for a follow up visit after she thoroughly reviews my tests.

As for my legs...she totally blew me off. And I'm ticked.

Even though she said we would test them, she didn't schedule them.

She doesn't think there is anything wrong with them.

Well, legs aching and going all tingling and numb ALL. THE. TIME. is NOT normal in my book.

She is scheduling me for a different test on them, but I already feel like I can't trust her now.

She doesn't want to do surgery on my hands, she said to just wear the braces at night and see if that helps.

I'm feeling frustrated and like I still don't have any answers. I have several questions about my arms. Like, I thought carpel tunnel only affected the wrist and hand area. I have pain shooting all the way up my arms, and my elbows often hurt too. Is that normal????? Does anyone know???

That's where I'm at.

No where.

But it is Monday,

my favorite day!

And I'm hanging some stuff on my walls,

still trying to pull the downstairs together...I have some ideas.

Hangin' with this little fella...

who said to me today..."hey mom, I could use a little help over here!"
{really, how old is he???}
