A little bit of Crate to Share

One of the new collections I bought for myself this year was the Maggie Holmes for Crate one.........I looooove it ;)   It's so pretty and funky all at the same time, which I guess is kinda my style.  I finally pulled it out a few weeks ago and just played.  I had a hard time putting it away.
I'll be going back to it for sure.

Sometimes I feel like each layout should be unique and new with different techniques and styles...but honestly, when I keep them at my most basic and natural style I always love them the best.  I love this design here and I use it quite often.  It allows me to showcase the pattern papers that I love and use lots of layers and pretty little details.  You may see it a lot and think i should come up with a new bag of tricks, but hey......if I love it, I might as well keep doing it ;)
 This makes me happy!

There isn't anything magnificent about this one either, just lots of layers and fun bits.
Just how I like it ;)  That background paper speaks for itself, dontcha think?!?
I've had these pics of Samantha and her bff for years (obviously) I've just never had the right collection to use with them, until this!  I was so excited to get these in the book ;)

*******************************

I know for those of you who don't necessarily read my blog for the scrapbooking are probably a little tired of it.  I've not been sharing as much personal info lately for many reasons.  One of them being that my kids are getting older and I need to respect their privacy and they don't like me talking about them much anymore ;)  I will still share things here and there but it's definitely going to be less often.

Project Life at Scraptastic

This month marked the FIRST Project Life kit over at Scraptastic Kit Club.
It is awesome!!!

It has a great variety of phrase/journal/decorative cards along with simple low profile embellishments like sequins, washi, wood veneer, decorative paper clips, flair, and die cuts.  And don't forget the exclusive stamp set.

I was so excited to play with this kit and make an effort at finishing up last years PL ;)
(don't judge me, k ;)

All I'm gonna say about it is.....I'm a new fan of sequins ;)

Stay tuned for next months kit.....and if you're interested be sure to contact Jessica at members@scraptasticclub.com to get yours reserved ;)

Helloooooo Summer!!!!

Life sure gets busy this time of year with school ending and summer starting.  Getting through all the to-do's and figuring out new schedules and activities for the endless days of summer boredom!  For them, not me ;)    I'm never bored....are you?

I've neglected the old blog.....and honestly, I just haven't felt like attending to it.
BUT!  I have been doing lots of scrapping and so I'll be sharing a few new things this week ;)

Today I'll start with our June kit at Scraptastic Kit Club.  I am really enjoying these kits, I love all the embellishments and collection of varying papers.  The kit I chose this month was the Carry On one, which is sold out.  It is filled with Simple Stories 24/7 along with a few other coordinating papers.

I've already made 5 layouts with these kits and I'll share a few with you, as the remainder will be showing up on the Scraptastic Blog in the near future.

May Scraptastic Kit

I'm a bit late bragging up this kit.....but this month is getting away from me.  Life has been busy, some good things but some bad things too and it's been a heartbreaking week.  I'm feeling emotionally exhausted right now.  But scrapping is very therapeutic for me and I'm hoping to ignore everything and spend a few days scrapping come Monday ;)

I've been able to dig into the May kit just a little

here's a look at the one I chose....Destination Unknown
I started the month off with our first challenge on the blog......using pennants and flags on a layout.  If you want to play along you can load them here ;)

These pics are of Jack at Easter "smiling" for me ;)  hahahaa!!

For this one I loved the little feathers and thought it would be fun to dangle them from the twine.  These pics are also from Easter of my beautiful Samantha girl....actually, they are the week after because she ended up sick on Easter and couldn't wear her new dress till the next Sunday.

Thanks for looking and to all you mothers out there, happy Mothers Day!
Hope you feel loved and cherished!
