Recital

I have been a bad blogger lately.
Just haven't felt like it I guess.

Have SOOOOOOO much to catch up on.
But I'll work backwards.
This weekend was Kristens dance recital.
I couldn't wait to get a look at these pics so
they will be the first things up!

She loved her dance this year, it was a really fun one for her.
It was the song America from West Side Story.
She did a great job and now I look forward to checking
one more thing off our to do list for the summer.

And so it began........................

I married this guy.
He's a pretty cool dude.



After 4 kids
8 moves
2 Universities
1 Bar Exam
a few jobs
a few tragedies
1 bout with a minivan
lots of Coke
and a little less hair than we started with

I am happy to report that we STILL quite like each other ;)

{on a side note...i can't figure out how we've been married so long, cause I'm only like 29????????}

Retaliation...

Jack came into my bathroom this morning as I was {beautifying} ;)
asked me to make him some popcorn...it's like 8 ish.........
being the good mother that I am, I refuse his ridiculous request.
So.....in retaliation, he runs off with the bathroom rug.
I don't know where it is.
But...i haven't looked too hard yet.

He IS the man!

I have MUCH to blog about.
VERY busy around these parts lately :)

But, alas, I am off to the land of W.a.l.m.a.r.t.
for much needed supplies and maybe the fabric store if I can
muster the courage with said man in hand.
there is a little apron to made this week at enrichment.

Baby M

I did a little baby shoot a few weeks ago for my last photography assignment. My models here at home...were sick. of. me.! But I found this cute little guy who couldn't say no, although he tried at times :)

His name is Mason and he was 4 weeks old for this shoot. He's a cute little guy and super wiggly! But we had lots of fun and hope his mommy likes these. Also got a few of sister in her little tutu down there at the bottom.

I really need to find a good photo editing class. I tried really hard to make these pics pretty, but I know there is so much more I could have done with them.

9 Years Ago...

Yesterday...{ 9 years ago } this little one entered my world...

and made me the mother of a daughter.

Since the day she was born she has been an angel in our midst (okay, sometimes there is a little devil in her, buuuut, mostly not {just don't ask her sister})

She has been such a joy to me as a mother and I feel blessed and overwhelmed to call her mine!

As I looked through her albums to choose a few pictures...i couldn't choose.

There are so many of her that I love and it was fun to look through the last 9 years with her.

Womans Conference

Went up to BYU Woman's Conference last week.
It was my first time....it won't be the last.
Such an amazing experience.
So uplifting & encouraging
makes me want to be better.
The spirit was ever present
and how can you not just be joyful and grateful
when that is hovering over you.

My partners in crime were such fun.
We had more fun than thirty something women should be allowed to have :)
We giggled and laughed for 4 days
stayed up way too late at night and ate lots of yummy junk food

Can't wait to do it all again!!!

Photography Class

So my photography class is coming to an end. I'm really sad to finish it off. I have learned so much. I shoot in manual all the time now and feel like my exposure is so much better than it used to be. Last week week our assignment was on composition. I had a really busy week and only one evening I could go out to really practice. I mistakenly believed Samantha and Jack when they said they wanted to be my subjects. Samantha posed for a minute...or two, but then decided she had her own ideas about what I should take (and I'm sorry, but it was nothing I could work with!). So I moved on to Jack who refused to come because (as he put it) he was busy working in the rock pile! I dragged his sorry little tooshy onto my chair and this is what I got...I believe it's the only picture of him he's not moving in.
I have to admit...I do LOVE this pic of Jack. It's so him and how he feels about having a picture taken. Just wish I could get more than this out of him!



I decided to move the kids to a different location to see if I could get any more out of them. As we were walking over both Samantha and Jack could not keep themselves off the curb and outta the rocks....and what'ya suppose happened????? They both fell at the same time!! Both screaming and crying and asking to go home. I was about to blow my top! So frustrated!!!

I took them home and bribed Kristen (big time) to come back out with me. She's a sweetheart and we had a lot of fun. I appreciate her willingness to work with me! And she's agreed to cooperate with me on any more assignments I have. (obviously she sensed how frustrated I was!)

Now I just need to find me a photo shop class so I can do a better job at editing these bad boys.
